“Rock That Body” is a song
performed by American hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas taken from their
multi-platinum selling fifth studio album The E.N.D. The song serves as
the fourth international single from the album (fifth overall) and was
first serviced to Canadian radio on December 15, then to Australia on
January 29 and was released on March 15 in the UK. The song was
officially sent to U.S. radio stations on May 11, 2010. The song has so
far reached number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The line “I wanna
rock right now”, which is repeated several times in the song, is sampled
from Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock’s 1988 song “It Takes Two.”
